Peer Editing, Grammar mistakes.


1-    Journal- 

 

What is peer editing?  What do you do?  List 5 things you’d like others to look for when they read your paper.

 

1.   Circle where we think there’s a mistake.

2.   Offer at least two compliments.

3.   Mention two things to change.

4.   Is there a Clear beginning, middle, end.

5.   Is it in MLA format.

6.   Is the story an event, a quick event?

7.   Do they start in the middle of the story?

8.   Are they using interesting words?

9.   Is the story interesting?

 

 

 

2-   MLA format.-  “OWL, Purdue, MLA format.”

 

3-   Common Grammar Mistakes

Tense Shift-  I went to the store and buy crab legs.

Parallelism-  I went to the store, bought crab, and buy soda.

Run On-  I went to the store I bought crab.

Comma Splice-  I went to the store, I bought crab.

Fragment- I went to the.

Verb Tense Agreement-  I goes to the store and I buys crab.
